9 Days to Go!

Christmas break begins in 9 days. I really like my job, but I also really like sleeping past 5am and now getting dressing until 9am (or later!). I know they next few days will fly by. I am starting the 5th and 6th graders on a contract. This is the way that I like to teach, and from what I have seen...kids love to learn this way. There is SO MUCH less wasted time. I like that as soon as they walk in the door each day they have something meaningful to do. There is a lot less teacher blah-blah-blahing. It also gives me a chance to really get around the room to see what is going on in their minds! I have been working hard on my teacher blog...ateachersnotebook.blogspot.com
